Chefchaouen is a traditional village in the Rif Mountains that offers a unique glimpse into the life of the people from this region. Quite different from other parts of Morocco in demeanor, tradition and dress, the Rif Mountains in the north have a history that is impacted by different experiences and influences than for example Marrakech. Wander the streets of this amazing blue village and learn its lore from the local people. Very cold in winter and often snow bound, Chefchaouen can be enjoyed at any time of year. Be sure to seek out the artists and local weavers for demonstrations.
