The original people of Morocco, the Amazigh (also known as the Berbers) first came to what became modern day Morocco through the desert. They were masters of irrigation being able to track underground water and hunt and travel across the arid land unlike others. They moved across the country and settled all along the country with major Amazigh settlements along the High Atlas Mountains, The Rif mountains and the Atlantic coast like the coastline city of Agadir.
